We are a new community orchestra in Richmond, SW London, welcoming adult players of all abilities. We enjoy playing classical music, jazz, concert band, TV/film scores, and rock/pop.
We are passionate about adult players enjoying ensemble playing regardless of their former experience, so we do not require new members to undertake an audition. Instead, we ask that you read music and are grade 3 (or equivalent) upwards.
As a result, the orchestra has a wide range of skills. Therefore, we adapt our repertoire and the difficulty of individual parts so that people with a wide range of abilities can play together.
Our rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 6-8 pm, term-time only. We meet at Duke Street Church, Quadrant Rd, Richmond TW9 1DH.
We perform concerts twice a year in the Richmond area.
Our first rehearsal will be on Wednesday, September 17th 2025, at 6pm.
Please get in touch by email or Instagram to learn about fees and more.
We look forward to welcoming you to Duke Street.

Sarah Savage
Sarah Savage is a keen amateur musician who plays jazz, classical and big band on alto sax with several local orchestras and jazz groups. She has also been a member of various choirs and performance ensembles. She trained extensively as a musician when young, starting on the flute at age 6, with some experience of clarinet and oboe, but moving exclusively to alto saxophone at 14, obtaining her grade 8. However, she pursued a non-music degree pathway, only returning to regular music performance ten years ago.
Sarah collates and organises the online music library and is responsible for Duke Street's organisation and administration. She helps with musical arrangements and transposes/writes parts for players where needed. She can be persuaded to make your part easier if you don’t like it!
She is a psychotherapist and former UK teacher who enjoys writing fiction in her spare time. She currently teaches privately while undertaking further psychotherapy training and spends the rest of her time in the world of music.
